In 1963, Oliver Olszewsky was born and raised in München (Munich), Germany. He grew up with 9 siblings, 7 of which became notable professional Landscapers. Their father, Olf Winand Olszewsky, is one of the most famous Landscape Architects of post-WWII Bavaria, and to this day runs 5 Nurseries throughout Germany. One of which continues as an established Production Nursery which Oliver oversaw sales, production and landscaping operations of until 1994.
In 1988, Oliver completed formal studies at the University of Oldenburg, obtaining his ‘Garten bau Techniker’ (Horticulture B.S. equiv.).
By 1989, he was selected to travel to the U.S. with the government program “Experience International", in which participants learned
Landscaping techniques from other nations. Oliver had the opportunity to work with acclaimed firms such as Briggs Nursery, Tsuki Nursery, and Phil Huldert Landscaping, Inc. This experience, along with intense studies taken at the SPSCC, gained him much respect as a highly sought after multilevel Landscaping Professional. While in the program, Oliver met and married his (American) wife; And though he was offered many lucrative positions, together they decided to move back to Munich where Oliver was to continue working for the family’s superior landscaping company. Ten years later however, they made another decision to move to his Wife’s childhood home of Olympia, WA. It is in Western Washington where Landscaping history will now be made to flourish.
